Boxing Promoters: DMX Got Us in a Real Fix

DMX may have wanted to fix his fight to avoid an ass-beating, but now he's really cruisin' for a bruisin' -- legally -- because the promoters that hired X are suing him for chickening out last minute.

According to docs filed Friday in Birmingham, Alabama -- Thunder Productions wants $1,000,000 from the rapper, claiming he's a fraud and led them on ... because as soon as they refused to fix his fight, he backed out.

The company says DMX's jitters really put them under the wire and cost them a ton of moolah because they had to switch gears late in the game and find a celebrity replacement.

But if you want our opinion -- DMX isn't half the man who's fighting in his place on December 12 ... because that man is Coolio!!!

Michael Jackson Sued Over Bad TV Habits

Michael JacksonMichael Jackson stiffed the people who installed his TV system at Neverland, this according to a brand spankin' new creditor's claim.

According to a claim filed yesterday, a company called Video & Audio Center (VAC) installed electronic audio and video equipment at Neverland Ranch in late 2003 and early 2004. We're told the company rewired the house, installed plasma TVs and put speakers all over the house.

VAC claims Jackson's camp ran up a bill of $109,540.85 -- and paid $25,000 of that, but never settled the bill completely. According to the docs, VAC says they won a judgment back in 2007 for the remainder.

They're asking for $128,482.77 -- the unpaid bill plus interest.

Judge: Miley Cyrus Isn't So Hanoi'ing After All

Miley Cyrus won't have to find $4 billion to pay off all the Asians in Los Angeles -- a judge officially let the singer off the hook in a lawsuit over that offensive "Hanoi Montana" photo she took earlier this year.

Miley Cyrus

This morning, a judge threw out the case filed by an Asian woman named Lucie Kim -- on behalf of all the Asians in L.A. -- who claimed the photo was offensive and Miley should have known the media would get its collective hands on it.

After the photo went public, Miley apologized a bunch of times and then went on a campaign of sushi dinners.

Kim claims she's considering filing an appeal to the judge's ruling.

'Cocaine' Surfaces in Taylor Swift Lawsuit

"Cocaine" is never free ... neither is Taylor Swift, John Fogerty and the Harper Valley P.T.A. -- this according to the secret agents who claim they caught an Idaho sports bar playing music they hadn't paid for.

Taylor Swift

As TMZ first reported, BMI -- the enforcers of music royalties -- sent a spy to The Sports Cellar bar in Idaho to see if they were playing music they hadn't paid for the rights to use ... and according to court documents, this is what they heard:

-- Cocaine
-- Amarillo By Morning
-- Harper Valley P.T.A.
-- Long As I Can See the Light ... by John Fogerty
-- She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy
-- Here Without You
-- Should've Said No .. by Taylor Swift
-- I Get It
-- Five Dollar Fine
-- Gotta Get Me Down Home

After the recon mission, BMI, Taylor Swift and several recording artists filed a lawsuit against the bar for copyright infringement.

So why would the secret agents for BMI target little podunk bars? Because they're sending a message to every small joint in the county -- Big Brother is always watching.

Carrie to Vivid: I Said No, Stupid

Carrie Prejean has her panties in a bunch, because Vivid Entertainment won't take no for an answer.

Carrie Prejean

TMZ has obtained a letter from Carrie's lawyer, threatening to sue Vivid if it releases videos or photos of Carrie's solo, XXX greatest hits. Carrie's lawyer, Charles LiMandri, told Vivid, even though he made it clear yesterday that no means no, "...your company has apparently told the media that it plans to publish the videotapes and/or photographs of my client with or without her permission."

LiMandri left nothing to the imagination, warning Vivid Carrie will sue for invasion of privacy, misappropriation of her likeness as well as public disclosure of private facts ... if Vivid makes good on its threat.

LiMandri will also add a claim for emotional distress for good measure. And he claims some of the videos were shot when she was only 17. Her ex-boyfriend -- the guy to whom she sent the tapes -- begs to differ.

AEG to Murray: Go Pound Sand

AEG will not pay Michael Jackson's troubled doctor a penny, sources tell TMZ.

AEG to Murray: Go Pound Sand

As we first reported, Dr. Conrad Murray may sue AEG for $300,000 -- the money he claims he's entitled to under a contract he signed with AEG to provide MJ with medical services. But sources connected with AEG tell TMZ the contract was never signed.

We're told a contract was drafted but it required three signatures -- AEG, Michael Jackson and Dr. Conrad Murray. Sources say Dr. Murray signed the contract and sent it to AEG but neither AEG nor MJ ever signed it.

The contract, we're told, also said it expressly hinged on Jackson signing.

Sources say AEG is drawing a hard line. They will not pay Murray a penny.

Dr. Murray Gunning for AEG

Dr. Conrad Murray is setting the stage for a lawsuit against AEG for the medical services he rendered to Michael Jackson ... according to Dr. Murray's rep.

Conrad murray

AEG owes Dr. Murray $300,000, according to Miranda Sevcik, publicist for Dr. Murray's lawyer, Ed Chernoff. Sevcik claims AEG has been "dragging its feet," even though the Dr. has requested payment for 2 months of services.

Sevcik says Dr. Murray has not been paid a penny for his services, in spite of the fact that the doctor claims to have signed a binding deal with AEG before giving up his medical practice.

Sevcik says Dr. Murray will not file a creditor's claim against Jackson's estate. She says, "Dr. Murray needs the money and he's entitled to the money based on the contract he signed with AEG."

AEG could not immediately be reached for comment.

Tila Tequila Sues Ex: The Brute Bruised Me

Tila Tequila is letting her bruises do the talking in a lawsuit she just filed against her ex, NFL star Shawne Merriman.

Tila Tequila

Tila claims Shawne grabbed her, shook her like a rag doll, threw her down and choked her during an argument last September. Tila says the San Diego Chargers linebacker had a bad temper combined with a drug problem, and that he humiliated her because of her bi-sexuality.

In the lawsuit, Tila's lawyer, Cyrus Nownejad, included a photo gallery (above) showing the disparity in height and weight (Tila -- 4'11", 93 lbs. Shawne -- 6'4", 280 lbs). The photos also show bruising on her arms, which Tila says is courtesy of Shawne.

The San Diego County D.A. declined to file criminal charges.

Tila's suit -- for assault, battery, false imprisonment and emotional distress -- seeks unspecified damages.

Jackson Custody Lawyer Files Small Claim

Michael JacksonThe law firm that represented Michael Jackson in his custody battle against Debbie Rowe back in 2005 is going after the singer's estate big time, to the tune of ... $1,419.70. Wait, what?

The Law Offices of Michael L. Abrams filed a creditor's claim against the Jackson estate last week, claiming the singer owed the firm for a little bit of legal work earlier this year. And by "little" we mean just 4.35 hours, according to the claim.

Jackson paid part of the bill, the claim indicates, which includes a $14 parking charge.

Considering most creditor's claims against the estate have been six and seven figures, we figure it's easier for the estate to just pay it rather than fight it.

Sigourney Weaver -- Sued by Association

Sigouroney WeaverSigourney Weaver is named as a defendant in a lawsuit over a business deal gone bad -- even though she didn't do anything wrong ... and the plaintiff even knows it.

We'll spare you the details, but it goes something like this: According to a lawsuit filed yesterday in New York, a guy named Anthony Minuto is suing Vincent Longo and his cosmetics company over a bad investment Minuto made in Longo's company.

Weaver is a small partner in the company, and was named as a defendant -- but Minuto accuses Weaver of no wrongdoing, saying, "Weaver is named a party defendant herein for no reason other than ... she is a minority shareholder of the Corporation and this action seeks declaratory relief against the corporation."

Translation: she's famous.

Minuto wants 25% of the company and is seeking nearly $5 mil in damages.

DJ AM -- Wrongful Death Suit Over Drugs

DJ AMA pretty incredible twist in the death of DJ AM (aka Adam Goldstein) ... The company that chartered the plane carrying DJ AM that crashed in South Carolina is now being sued for wrongful death because "the crash ultimately caused Adam Goldstein's death."

The amended suit in L.A. County Superior Court notes DJ AM was forced to take various drugs as a result of the burns he suffered, along with the emotional distress.

In addition to Clay Lacy Aviation, DJ AM's estate is suing the travel service, Goodyear Tire, Learjet and the estates of the two pilots who were killed in the crash.

Ultimately DJ AM's death was caused by a combination of various prescription drugs, along with cocaine.

The upshot ... the drugs were the direct result of the crash.

We also know DJ AM became intensely fearful of flying and began taking drugs to calm his nerves when he flew.

UPDATE: A Clay Lacy Aviation rep just told TMZ, "...Clay Lacy Aviation did not own or operate the aircraft involved." Translation -- not our fault.
