If you really did your research you would know that the website you keep linking is run by a group who is subsidized by companies dependant on animals: ex. restaurants, slaughterhouses, vivesectionists, etc. This group has openly stated that one of ther sole purposes is to discredit PETA. PETA has never claimed to run an animal shelter. They are an advocacy group. In some southern states they have assisted cities and town who have terrible overpopulation problems with cats and dogs. These animals were living in horrific conditions and had no homes to go to. PETA assisted in humanely putting these animals down rather than live a life of misery. If people would spay and neuter their animals, stop breeding them, and take care of them rather then throw them in alleys, groups would not have to do this hard and sad job.
I am not with PETA but I do work for other animal groups. I have throughly researched this...not just looked at one website.

92. It's time for PETA to back down... this is WAY to "over-the-top" even for them! I know first hand the harm PETA causes many of the TRUE animal rescues and people who really have the knowledge to take care of animals, many of the PETA "volunteers" know NOTHING about animals and how to handle them in difficult situations. They have caused way more harm than good on too many occasions. It's time for them to fade away quietly....

It's amazing that you are horrified by the image of a half-naked woman, that this is going to far, but confining pigs in metal cages on concrete floors their entire lives is ok. Pigs have equal intelligence as dogs and can suffer the same. Would you allow your dog to suffer in those conditions? To the moron who said the mother pig would roll over onto her piglets..ya....if she's stuck in that little cage! In natural surroundings they do just fine.
