Paula Abdul's Pre-Game Lip-Synch

If you just missed Paula Abdul's Super Bowl pre-show performance, where she mouths sings "Dance Like There's No Tomorrow," rest easy, TMZ has got your back.

The sugary pop presentation was pretty much a predictable mess -- including a Britney circa 1999 routine, cheesy background dancers and absolutely no actual singing. The best part wasn't even Paula -- it was spotting Randy Jackson in the background -- playing bass! Hello, Tito!

Where in the hell was Simon during this pre-taped madness?!

153. Big YAWN.... TMZ must have been having a slow day since Britney is locked up. All the performers at the Superbowl are singing to tape. Have been for years. Why is Randy there? Because the song is from RANDY'S album. Paula is just one of many guest vocalists that are appearing on HIS cd. Why Randy & Paula at the Superbowl? Because American Idol is still the top tv show in the country, and it just so happens to air on the same network as the Superbowl. This story was a waste of bandwidth. Oh wait....Isn't TMZ TV on Fox too? No wonder.

154. Awwww... I think she did a great job! I used to love her as a kid and she's still entertaining. Yes, she's a 40-something, but she moves a LOT better than most 20-somethings. She is a little loopy sometimes, but I really do think she rocked!! ;) HATERS!

155. The most pathetic thing I've seen on tv since watching Letterman kiss up to Paris. What happened to growing old gracefully and with dignity?

156. It wasn't bad at all, lip synced or not, especially when you consider she hasn't done this in ten years. Those calling it a "catastrophe" are just being overly dramatic.

160. Note to TMZ: Paula Abdul did these moves l-o-o-o-n-g before Britney.

161. I don't know why anyone is shocked...she's ALWAYS lip synced. Not to mention, the vocal tracks on every CD she's ever recorded were digitally enhanced to make her sound like she could sing. SHE CAN'T! During a recording session at Paisley Park, she broke down and cried because she realized she couldn't sing!

She's hot, that's why she's famous. I bought her tapes when I was a kid, before I knew better.

Paula is not the only one to have their tracks enhanced. Britney, Jessica Simpson, Shania, and others have followed her example.

This is why I can't listen to mainstream radio anymore...looks and sex appeal are more important than talent. Give me Aretha or Tina Turner any day!

162. I think she may have been singing. They can do a lot with fancy microphones and mixing boards.

163. It doesn't matter what song Paula had released, it could have been the best song written in the history of music, this blogger and all the other haters out there would have dissed it and her anyway. They had already made their minds up before even listening to it. They lead such petty lives that the only thing that makes them happy is to put everyone else down. And they have extremely selective memory as well...critizising her for her dance moves when it's public knowledge that she has undergone extensive surgery in her neck and back and suffers from a neural disease. And then the whole lipsync thing...What about Chris Brown at the VMA, what about Madonna, what about Kylie, what about Britney, what about Janet and everyone else who moves around while they are performing - THEY ALL LIPSYNC!!! It's no big deal - it's entertainment, and Paula is an incredible entertainer!

Why not for once in your life, applaud someone for making an effort and for fighting her way back despite the incredible pain she is in.

Paula is such a positive person and she has never done anything to harm other people - she does not deserve to be treated like this.

So to all the haters on the web: Stop hating on people that have achieved something in their lives, just because you haven't. Leave the computer for one second, stop throwing hatred through cyberspace and go out and create something of real value!

164. There is so much hatred here. I think Paula looked great and did a decent job. Could we do as well? And so far as being passed it look at Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones.

Sometimes when we are so critical of others it shows that we feel inadequate and may have some unhealed emotional issues.
