Paula Abdul's Pre-Game Lip-Synch

If you just missed Paula Abdul's Super Bowl pre-show performance, where she mouths sings "Dance Like There's No Tomorrow," rest easy, TMZ has got your back.

The sugary pop presentation was pretty much a predictable mess -- including a Britney circa 1999 routine, cheesy background dancers and absolutely no actual singing. The best part wasn't even Paula -- it was spotting Randy Jackson in the background -- playing bass! Hello, Tito!

Where in the hell was Simon during this pre-taped madness?!

136. You all are haters and don't know anything about television. It is common for networks to dub over the audio because the natural live audio does not transfer well over the airwaves. She still sucks though.

138. I WATCHED THAT PREFORMANCE, IF YOU WANT TO CALL IT THAT. IT WAS VERY POOR THE DANCING WAS PITIFUL TO SAY THE LEAST, SHE SHOWED HER AGE! PAULA NEVER COULD SING AND SHE PROVED IT WITH THAT SAD LIP SYNC. HOW CAN YOU ALLOW A PERSON WITH POOR SKILLS TO JUDGE OTHER PEOPLE. THERE ARE AND WERE CONTESTANTS ON AMERICAN IDOL THAT ARE BETTER THAN PAULA. WASHED UP HAS BEEN THAT WAS NOT THAT GOOD TO BEGIN WITH.

139. Jackson played bass in violin virtuoso Jean-Luc Ponty's backing band and toured with rock band Journey in 1986. His numerous credits range from playing with Aretha Franklin, George Michael, Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, Billy Cobham, Blue Öyster Cult, Herbie The Car, Richard Marx, Madonna, Billy Joel, Journey, Bon Jovi and Bob Dylan to playing at the Grand Ole Opry with The Charlie Daniels Band. His production/songwriting work in the San Francisco Bay area with Narada Michael Walden and Walter Afanasieff led Jackson to be quite in demand as a producer himself.

140. Paula has never been talented at anything but self-promotion and she rocks at that.

141. With all the talent out there today why should Paula Abdul get this gig? I mean seriously.

143. Well, you teeny-bobbers on here can diss Paula all you want, and I will laugh hysterically when this song becomes a big hit. And Paula will laugh all the way to the bank. It's already doing well on ITUNES. People dissed Britney's performance, and "Gimme More" became one of the biggest hits of her career, and it all started with ITUNES, after her much panned VMA performance!

144. A wardrobe malfunction woul've helped Paula's ratings (not that there's anything wrong with that!)

But let's not knock Randy on bass. He's not some hack player, the dude played in JOURNEY, for crying out loud! That boy can PLAY!!! AND he's incredibly versitle. Anyone who thinks he's simply some A&R-type guy from the record labels is an idiot. Randy has been in some killer bands as a MUSICIAN!!!

That's what he brings to American Idol: Simon can tell you the basics, but is lookig for a star; Paula can judge you based on "presence" (ie, what you'll bring to the video shoot & how you look); but Randy is ALL ABOUT the music. If you kill the song, HE is the one who'll tell you (f**k SIMON telling you like it is, that tard is a "celebrity.").

If you're on key, Randy will dig you. If you lack the presence of Journey (which is a HIGH watermark), Randy will base you on that.

Bottom line, Randy is simply a hard core musician. If you suck in every aspect of the song, Randy will turn you down. If you hit every note perfectly & have the soul, Randy will say "yes" (you can always teach someone to dance, but you can't teach the "star" to sing.)

DO NOT KNOCK RANDY! That cat has it going ON!!!!
