Nick Hogan in Serious Car Accident

Nick HoganUPDATE: Nick Hogan is reportedly in serious condition, but the passenger in the car sustained more severe injuries. He is listed in critical condition.

Hulk Hogan's son, Nick, was seriously injured in a car accident tonight in Clearwater, Fla.

Law enforcement tells TMZ the accident occurred around 7:31 PM ET. According to police, a Toyota Supra, driven by Nick Bollea (Hogan's real name), was traveling at a very high rate of speed when it lost control and hit a raised median. The car was flipped around and the back end hit a palm tree. The impact, we're told, "destroyed the entire car." The two male occupants were flown by Medivac helicopter from the accident scene to a hospital in St. Petersburg. We're told both men had "very very serious" injuries.

The accident happened on Court Street, a main drag in downtown Clearwater, causing the entire street to be shut down for hours.

No 911 call was made to police. The accident was called in by an officer who rolled up right after the crash happened.

377. 10/09/07-- I was hearing on the radio today that the passanger in Nick hogans car was a Marine, and that hes is in such bad condition that he could only open his eyes for a few minutes per day..I still haven't seen anything on the T.V. about the crash at all. Are they even contemplating the idea of including the tragedy in the show? How badly are they hurt?
In any case, I hope that Nick and his friend will be alright, and God be with them..

378. There was some discussion of this tragic story on a morning radio show today. No mention of Nick, but I assume he is still recovering. The psychological injuries will last far beyond the physical for this young man, who made a bad choice to speed.
The passenger, John, is on life-support and the attending physician's state he will remain this way for the rest of his days. He was not wearing the seat restraint, and in this case it really could have made all of the difference in preventing many of the life-threatening injuries he has sustained. How pitiful this is. Had speed not been a factor, there may not have been an accident, however, it only takes a moment to 'click it'; a moment that could have made all of the difference.
Sending thoughts and prayers to all involved for the very difficult days ahead.

379. WOW....Some of you guys are very cruel.....Get over yourselves for a minute...

My prayers and concerns remain with the entire Bollea "Hogan" family, and also to the passenger who is said to be in serious & critical condition. Fame, fortune, or not,...these are real people......they are hurting just as you and I would.....please respect them!

380. To Terry, Linda, Brooke, Nick and entire Bollea family,

(Not sure if you're reading these comments, but just in case)

Please do not take any of the negative comments personally. I am stunned to see how some people can be so mean and disrespectful during this time in your lives. Keep your heads up, and think positive. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Nick, I can't imagine how you must feel, and I'm sure 90% of these people on here can't imagine it either, but hang in there.

I've watched Hogan Knows Best from the start, and I believe you all are REAL and it's not acting! I think you're all great! What a loving family! Stay that way!

God Bless........

381. I love how people defend these street races. In my town 3 teenagers just died when the 17 year old kid's WRX STi went off the road, flipped like a dozen times and slammed into several trees. The driver had been arrested for drunk driving, racing, violation of probation for driving on a suspended license, speeding, etc. People here did the same thing: "how can you judge........" blah blah blah.

How can we judge? Because of this: Nick Hogan Interview in Rides Magazine August Issue: “In my silver Viper, I was driving from Miami to Tampa. I got pulled over going 107 [mph] and the guy let me off. He’s like, “Hey, I know who you are, just keep going, ya know.” Dude, I got back on the road and two minutes later I get pulled over going 113 [mph]. Another highway patrol from the same county said, “I just heard on the radio that my buddy pulled you over and let you go. I’ma let you go this time. It’s your second warning. You get pulled over again, you’re probably going to go to jail.” Three minutes later, [I was] doing 123 [mph] in a 50 [mph zone]. The guy is like, “Hey, I just heard you got pulled over twice in the last 10 minutes. I got to write you a ticket.” http://hitsusa.com/blog/49/nick-hogan-car-crash/

This accident could have totally been avoided, but hey, he's a celebrity, right? So if he kills one of his friends we just need to support him however we can, right? Sure, and Lindsay and Britney just have issues with their mothers, too, right? Let's get all these teen celebs together and have a giant pity party for them because their lives are so tough they shouldn't have consequences for their actions. B.S.

383. First of all Adam, I am not saying that he shouldn't be punished. I am saying that they are real people with feelings and emotions. There are so many people on here leaving negative comments about how aweful of a "Dad" Terry is....IS this why he won "Father of the YEAR"?????????

I agree that any law broken should have it's consequences, celebrities too. But I don't agree that Nick is a spoiled selfish brat. What he really is, is a 17 year old boy. Pretty much all 17 year olds like to show off, especially thier "rides". There should be punishment. But why would be people be so quick to judge Nick's family? Imagine if someone you loved made a tragic mistake. A MISTAKE!!! We ALL make them!!! Does that make your family a bad family?

384. Im glad Nick and his passanger are okay!! I have a Supra too and ya gotta be careful! Thank God Nick is okay cuz that boy is Sexxxxxxy!! lol

385. My prayer is that his friend dies (or whatever it takes) for Nick not to be such a stupid pr*ck. Hopefully this is enough tragedy for him to set him straight. It just goes to show how fake these family "reality" shows are. In real life, Jack Osborne is a drug addict and Nick Hogan is a reckless teen with no common sense. They try to make their family a role model, but they're just as messed up as the rest of us.

387. Well, when was this accident? it says August..Im confised. Nick didn't have a proper license, drives too fast and Nick looked fine whe he was being arrested on the video the other guy, a soldier just back from Iraq, has serious brain injuries however, thats who we should be praying for. Hulk seems fairly down to earth, but his wife Linda and his kids are very spoiled and fake. Hulk could do better (should have done better)
Nick has been brought right down to Earth on this one.
CeleBRATies get on my nerves alot!!

388. I hope that little punk Nick goes to jail for a very long time. Im tired of selfish punk teenagers acting like they are the only ones that matters in this world.
I also hope that Nick feel honest remorse for what he caused even though its too little too late.
One last thing: The Hogans need to get their heads out of their butts and stop blaming his friend because he didnt have on a seat belt. No ones falling for that lame excuse.
