Lohan Rolls Out Again, Rehab Residents Complain

Lindsay Lohan took yet another break from rehab on Thursday ... to rehabilitate her Mercedes. And TMZ sources say her fellow residents at the Wonderland rehab facility are annoyed that Lindsay is getting special treatment.

Lohan, who checked into rehab nine days ago, took her SL500 to Beverly Hills Mercedes for service. She also stopped by the set of her new movie, "I Know Who Killed Me." Lindsay then made one last stop -- at a grocery store -- before heading back to Wonderland rehab facility.

When she does go back, other rehab residents have groused to TMZ that Lindsay has her peeps come to pamper her -- a masseur, hairstylist, makeup artist, etc. They're also upset that Lindsay has the magic key to the front door.

This week alone, Lohan left rehab for day-trips on Monday and Wednesday as well as yesterday. On Monday, Lindsay left Wonderland for her condo. On Wednesday, TMZ spies spotted her at Newsroom Cafe having lunch with friends. And of course, yesterday's field trip.

The buzz is that as early as today, Lindsay will be back shooting her movie full time.

"This isn't the Betty Ford Clinic ... " -Lohan's Rep

Leslie Sloane Zelnik, Lindsay's high-powered publicist, told TMZ, "Lindsay is 100% not getting special treatment. She's getting the same as everyone else. This isn't the Betty Ford Clinic, it's not a lockdown facility. There is personal time. All these naysayers who keep blogging and speaking out, like the 'Today' show, they don't know what she's going through, they're not there. They shouldn't speak until they've gone through something like that."

Sloane also wanted to set the record straight about Lohan's recent hospital visit: "For the record, she did have her appendix taken out."

106. I would think the "Rehab" admin. would be more sensative to the residents, who are allegedly complaining about a fellow pt.'s special treatment. The real loser, if these "outings" are just indulgences for a celeb "client" -- would be Lindsay. If she is "sick" enough to be in a rehab; she should be getting nothing less than the best possible care. It is, however, a real hassle when a rehab client is insured by movie studios to be someplace at a certain time. They may have accepted her as pt. only under certain conditions to be met for the convenience of Miss Lohan's employers.

107. As a retired R.N., and former supervisor in a drug and alcohol rehab facility, I can truthfully state that the real problem here is the Wonderland program. It sounds as if they are set up to take a patient's money then become one of that patient's enablers.
Yes, Lindsay has to take responsibility for her actions, but she cannot do that until she learns how. A good rehab center helps its patients learn who they are, why they do what they do, what their strong and weak points are, how to function in society, how to conquer their drug habits, and what to do when they relapse.
I get the impression Lindsay wanted some help, made an attempt to get that help by entering Wonderland, but instead of getting help and discipline, only got more of the same enabling she gets on the outside.
A serious rehab would allow no outside contacts for at least 3-4 weeks, and after that contact would be based on patient behavior and progress in the basic program. More privileges are earned based on continued learning and consistent application of that learning.
I hope Lindsay and those who REALLY care for her will get the care for her that she needs. Good luck and best wishes.

108. II absolutely loved Mean Girls and I thought in The Parent Trap she was so adorable. Whatever happened to her? It's so disapointing and she needs to get with her life. She's taking it as a joke and wasting her money away Get a real job and an education. I hope she totally falls on her ass because of her spoiled bitchiness. She gets special treatment because she's a celebrity. Celebrities want to be treated normal, well, they also want the special treatment when it comes to traffic fines, DUIs, and rehab. Damn it pisses me off.

109. Wonderland Center saved my brothers life. I know in my heart he would be dead today if Wonderland and their team of professionals were not a part of our lives. He left the facility on many occasions and always had someone from wonderland with him. Wonderland may be an upscale rehab center but a lot of serious business takes place. My brother is not a star. He is a human just like Lindsay. Lindsay will bounce back better than ever!

111. "...she DID have her appendics out.." Yeah right. I know at least two people who had appendicitis and after having it removed, they were pretty much in bed for a week to 10 days. Granted both guys were in their late 30's/40's but I would guess the recovery time would be more than a weekend. I'm not a doctor, but who do they think they're fooling?

As for rehab, didn't we all party a little hearty when we were young? That didn't make us alcholics...it made us twenty. I admire anyone who, after abusing subtances and truly is looking for help goes into rehab or therapy--this is a terribly difficult step--but if you just need to get away for a while, how about a resort somewhere in Cancun? Spa does not equal rehab. Those people are in rehab to WORK. Hard. I think she's clearly proven she doesn't know how to do that on or off the set.

113. Half measures will avail Lindsey nothing. She stands at the turning point. The only people who do not recover are those who do not completely give themselves to this 12-step program and are totally honest.

Lindsey -- this is for real, not acting. This is your life -- you have not even "dried out" yet. Recovery is a life long process and you are setting the foundation now. Learn all you can about 12-steps and learn from the people around you.

You are not special and unique when it comes to addiction. Take heart that you can recover like millions of others.

It works if you work it.

114. Of all the comments, Rebecca's was my favorite. I just love the word 'douche-bag'; it's so very descriptive without even saying much. Thanx for the laugh R. And thanx for another very clever piece 14. I have been in re-hab for alcohol abuse (a couple of years ago), and the whole idea behind it is to give your life and your daily routine an adequite amount of structure. Running all around town completely undermines that premise. Once she's in a pine box and buried, and her freedom is taken away from her forever, someone else will have to drive that Mercedes around; unless she wrecks it while wrecking herself.
